Foraging France
Hitting a flea market is an anthropological dig. I look for textiles, ephemera, and antique art students' work, particularly architectural and life drawings. I can spend 5-6 happy hours at the St. Ouen flea market several days in a row! There are other weekly pop up vide greniers (empty the attic) and brocantes (flea markets) in different locations on the streets where you can find great treasures for your home, for your art, or to wear. There are also fantastic annual and biannual markets all over France that are well worth a visit.

Wander the Past
Artifacts from the past are a window into what we are today. Decay is tangible and beautiful. And objects have souls. Look at the two to your left. I'm still wishing I had brought them home with me.
What will you make?
We can organize a workshop as part of your trip to create a story around a piece you buy and work through how to alter, contain, modify, or use it as a springboard.

Let's Go!
Email me to get on the mailing list for upcoming trips or to work with me on fashioning a private trip with a group of friends or family. I can provide a full-service experience including recommendations for places to stay, guided meals and reservations, food markets, museum visits and other must-dos in Paris, in addition to flea marketing.
If you would like to visit Paris with someone who loves it and knows it, contact me.
And please email me if you'd like my Cindy's Guide to Paris PDF or any recommendations.

My friend Laure at the Marché Vernaison (allee 6, stand 101) has the most beautiful textiles - lace, linens, flax, cottons, the very popular workers' jackets, hats, gorgeous big linen postal bags.
